Guide to different espresso based coffees made with milk
A white coffee is a coffee with milk or cream added. Individuals will often tailor their favourite drink to suit their own taste. For example many prefer a stronger coffee and may add an extra shot of espresso. Milk is steamed and thickens as small air bubbles are created known as microfoam.
Macchiato
A macchiato is a shot of espresso with a small amount of steamed milk or foam. The translation is “stained”with milk
Flat White
Espresso base, heated milk, no extra foam on the top
Latte

Cappuccino
You should expect a cappuccino to be the most foamy and thick of the milk espresso drinks. Some define it as equal parts foam/milk. Other speciality establishments define it as a harmonious blend. It commonly consists of more foam than a latte
Mocha
A mocha is most similar to a latte but with chocolate added. This might be a chocolate shot. It will be made with a shot of espresso, a shot of chocolate and steamed milk.
